Hawaii Information Consortium
What if a company that had enjoyed an exclusive contract for twenty years, white-labeling web and mobile apps for state government, suddenly had to compete for its business? How do you brand a company that is supposed to work quietly behind the scenes, a company that’s supposed to be invisible?
Legislative Reference Bureau
At the end of 2019 my team at HIC completed work on two websites designed and built concurrently: the State of Hawaii Legislative Reference Bureau (LRB) website and Public Access Room (PAR) website. These are websites used by the Hawaii State Legislature to house hundreds of documents and make them accessible to legislators, the media, and the public.
Hawaii’s Foreign-Trade Zone #9 was a client of mine while working for HIC and after I left. Together we created some very cool stuff that helped them show off their capabilities.
Business Development & Support Division
Working with my ace team at NIC Hawaii and our partner at the State of Hawaii is one of the highlights of my career. We did so many great things together. I’d like to share just a few of them.
Hana Hou Campers & The Vintage Aloha Photo Bus
This double website and branding project I completed in 2015 for a couple of friends and small-business entrepreneurs. I helped them take their converted 1970’s VW bus businesses to the next level by creating beautifully fitting branding and user friendly websites.
State Council on Mental Health
The Hawaii State Council on Mental Health is an active advocacy group of multi-discipline, volunteer members who provide a voice for people on behavioral health issues. In 2018, my team at HIC completed work on their website. Working on this website project with them was one of my greatest professional honors. We helped them to reach a larger audience by creating an inspired website design.
